Well, it's back to work today and we have a lot of art to take down. The faculty show, Mettle, is being de- installed. All the work has to be handled very carefully. Here the registrars are wrapping journals that are covered with wax in a polyester fabric that is acid-free and safe for the art. The fabric is really made as lining fabric but it works for this, as well.
These artworks are by the artist Rae Goodwin, and called Ever Shifting Landscape, 2012. The artist covers journals with wax to express the shifting, changing nature of relationships as part of the ebb and flow of life.
Of course, we need to take that holiday tree down, too!
